“Celebrating National Day — Auspicious Intangible Cultural Heritage of the Greater Bay Area” Exhibition
Description
Locating at the coast of the South China Sea, the Greater Bay Area (GBA) Cities, the birthplaces of the Lingnan culture share the same cultural origin. The unique environment has brought forth to the rich and characteristic intangible cultural heritage (ICH) items in the area. These precious cultural treasures not only promote Chinese culture, but also cultivate people’s affection for home and country, and maintain the unity of the people. Featuring auspicious animals, the exhibition as a cultural feast jointly created by 11 GBA cities, introduces ICH of the area to the public, including performing arts, traditional craftsmanship, festive events, etc., showcasing the superb skills and profound cultural substance. It also marks the celebration of the 75th anniversary of founding of the People's Republic of China with the citizens in an auspicious atmosphere. This exhibition is one of the events in “Cultured Bay Area, Brilliant ICH— 2024 Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Intangible Cultural Heritage Show”.
